CAYENNE & GINGER BALM



A wonderful all-natural balm that may help with arthritis pain & inflammation, bursitis pain, joint pain and sciatica pain. aching sore muscle, headaches. I have chronic pain from all of the these and made this balm for myself It gives me great relief. Made to withstand the Australian heat it is a firm balm that melts beautifully into the skin and isn't greasy. Packed with healing essential oils and moisturizing butters and infused oils. There is no overpowering smell either. The ingredients are all sourced locally. The dandelion flowers are collected by me and the balms are made with love and care. 

I have Chronic Arthritis, Bursitis and Sciatica pain, yep I am getting old and falling apart. After a recent attack of all three which landed me in bed for three days I needed something stronger than my usual "Dandelion Healing Balm" which is great for a multitude of things including mild arthritis pain. I made this cayenne balm after a week of using this three times a day I was back to my usual manageable daily pain which never goes away, I have added essential oils to the balm for their healing properties also.

INGREDIENTS: eucalyptus, peppermint, ginger, clove, lavender, infused cayenne & ginger oil, infused dandelion oil, beeswax, vitamin E oil, arrowroot, organic coconut oil, shea butter.

The result is a firm balm that melts nicely on the skin but won't leave you feeling greasy.. No preservatives, no added colours or chemicals just natural ingredients. The balms are made upon order so as to ensure they are as fresh as can be when you get them. Because there re no preservatives in the product keep away from water and make sure your hands are dry before dipping them in the pot as the product is made up of oils and butters, water added by accident to the product may cause it to spoil. In saying that Cayenne balm is great to have on hand. I have shared this with elderly neighbors and friends who love it. I have had great results from it myself so try some today.

Benefits of the ingredients

Cayenne: Capsaicin, one of the major constituents of cayenne, helps to powerfully block something called substance P. Substance P is a neurotransmitter that relays pain signals in the body. Capsaicin successfully blocks that transmission which helps reduce pain. Used topically, cayenne helps relieve the pain from migraine headaches, menstrual cramps, shingles, backaches, bruises, muscle and joint pain and as I have found bursitis. It also gave me relief from my chronic sciatica so that I could sleep at night.

Peppermint essential oil:  Peppermint works as an analgesic, cephalic, and anti-neuralgic which help to fight off headaches and muscular pain.

Eucalyptus: Several compounds in eucalyptus have been shown to reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain 

Clove Oil: In Arthritis Clove oil can benefit arthritis patients in several ways. Clove oil exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, analgesic, anxiolytic properties and therefore it can be helpful in alleviating inflammation, swelling, pain, discomfort, etc. in the patients with arthritis. Clove oil possesses anti-arthritic properties Clove oil component eugenol has been found to exhibit anti-arthritic effects in rat models of arthritis. In a study, it was observed that eugenol could effectively alleviate the symptoms of arthritis. This was found to be due to anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory properties of eugenol. Eugenol was also effective in reducing the migration of leukocytes to the joints thus reducing inflammation and swelling. It enhanced the levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines like IL-10 while reducing the levels of inflammatory mediators. Another study published in Pharmacology also found similar results. Eugenol was capable of reducing inflammation, joint swelling, etc. in the rat models of arthritis and thus proved to be a potent anti-rheumatic agent. Chronic pain is the most common symptom in patients with arthritis. It is caused by inflammation, swelling, etc. and causes a great deal of discomfort in them by causing immobility. Alleviation of pain is one of the most important focuses of any treatment regime. Clove oil has been widely used for relieving pain in dentistry. It has numbing properties and thus alters the perception of pain. It has been used in folk medicine for relieving joint pain, muscle ache, toothache, headaches, etc.

Ginger oil: Ginger is a common healing agent used for its anti-inflammatory properties and pain-relieving effects. A 2001 study Trusted Source evaluated the analgesic effects of ginger on joint and knee pain in osteoarthritis patients. More than half of the participants in the study had reduced knee pain using the ginger extract versus those using the placebo. They also used less drugs over time to treat their joint pain. To use ginger oil for pain, you can apply a few drops topically on the affected area. For an added boost, use a hot compress after massaging the area with oil. It’s important to note that it’s possible to be allergic to ginger applied topically, so you should always do a test patch on a small area first.

Lavender Essential Oil: You can find lavender essential oil in many homes and in many places that strive to create a calming and relaxing environment. That’s because lavender essential oil can reduce stress and anxiety. But that’s not the only thing this potent oil can do. Since it contains anti-inflammatory compounds, lavender essential oil can reduce inflammation around joints. 

WARNING: Pregnant and nursing mothers should ask their doctor first before using this product as it contains essential oils (PEPPERMINT) to be avoided during pregnancy.

As with any product please check the ingredients first and that you are not allergic and that it is safe to use if you are on any medications.

Directions: Massage into affected area 2-3 times per day.

Massage a small amount well into the affected area, and let it soak in. DO NOT rub on open wounds. Do NOT rub near eyes. If skin irritation occurs discontinue use.
